Ready or Not Here it Comes!

Yikes.
FINALS
I just want them to be over with so that the Christmas spirit will come!
{It is especially hard to welcome with a bah humbug hubby}

In other news I am recently lovin' Michael Buble and Adele-good stuff, I think they're what's gettin' me threw these last few weeks of the semester.
What keeps you going?

OH happy day!

Hello everyone! Sorry I haven't been blogging much the past couple of weeks...last week was crazy. Let's just leave it at that, but now I am home in good ol' SoCal!
My Birthday was also this weekend so that means....shopping spree! What more could a girl ask for?
Today I got to hang out with my friend for life and neighbor, Megan. It was great to see her after probably a year and a half.
And of course, best for last, Clayton flies in tomorrow FINALLY! One thing I am not looking forward to is the crazy traffic at LAX...Then tomorrow night we'll be taking some family photos a.k.a an excuse for me to wear my new clothes and dress up. Yippee.
I love these turkey nails! Too cute, hope y'all have a great Thanksgiving!
xoxo

OH happy day!

Hey friends! I know that last week I totally forgot about my first blog promise! {Shame on me} But I didn't forget today. I know that the day isn't over yet but something major happened already.

Clayton, my brother Garrett and I have all been planning since July to drive down to California for Thanksgiving. Leaving Saturday 11/19 resulting in us missing two days of school, no biggie right? Well some professors thought other wise. Turns out the school encouraged professors to have exams, presentations or whatever those two days so students wouldn't skip!

Well, I haven't been home in almost a year. It's not home that even really matters, it's the people. I haven't seen my older sister, Sarah or my other older brother, Jay since last December. I haven't seen my grandparents since then either and before that occasion I have no idea how long it had been. Haven't seen my aunts, uncles, neighbors, friends and church family...I think y'all get the point, or should I continue the list? I am sooo sorry for wanting to go home and see my family since if I don't now it would probably be an other year until I did.

Last night over dinner Clayton had mentioned that two of his teachers were still debating on when to give tests  {before or after our "break"}. So we were a little worried but not freaking out since nothing was set in stone. This morning when Clayton got home from his first class he dropped the Atomic Bomb. If he doesn't stay until Tuesday 11/22 for a presentation then he would not pass his class.

I was more than devastated, but would not give up. I immediately went online and began to search for flights on Tuesday or Wednesday. To my luck I found one- at a decent price too!

I am so grateful that we will get to spend Thanksgiving together as a family. A lot of plans have changed/been cancelled now, which makes me sad. But over all the most important thing is that we will all get to be together.

Interpersonal Theory

For my interpersonal theory class we had to make something to represent us.

1.     A symbol of a major life achievement: The pink castle represents my LDS temple marriage.
2.     Symbolize a skill: The whole poster shows my creativity skills
3.     Something that is major in your life that if others knew it would help them better understand you: The girl reading represents me and my education. I was diagnosed with short-term memory loss in 3rd grade. The fact that I graduated high school, was accepted into a 4-year university and I am on track to graduate in April 2013 are all important achievements to me.
4.     Something of great value you posses: The heart shaped world represents my passion to help make a difference in developing countries.
5.     Something that you would do if you had an unlimited amount of money: The tree represents life, growth and sustainability. If I could I would create world sustainability.
6.     Three words that describe you: Leader, Caring and passionate.

This was a fun project that helped me come to know myself better. I would recommend it to anyone and everyone! Have a great rest of the weekend.

P.S. IT SNOWED. Here's to the start of an other 6 month winter...

Clatyon's Birthday!

Yesterday was Clatyon's Birthday, we've been celebrating throughout the week. On Tuesday I made him a Birthday poster:
Wednesday I made him drive me to Idaho Falls so we could get his present! As much as I tried I couldn't get him to stay in the car, but on the bright side he loves his present!
After getting his present we were starving since it was 7 o'clock, I don't know about y'all be we like to eat pretty early. So we went to Red Robbin and had an early birthday dinner! They sang to him too!

Yesterday we opened what was left of his presents...A couple of cards from family and went to dinner again since we had a gift card! Then later my older brother, Garrett and his jazz band were playing at a local hamburger joint, Sammy's, so we went by and got to hear some of Garrett's original music! So cool!

OH happy day!

Every Tuesday I've decided I will write a post dedicated to the positive {OH happy day!} Today could have easily been bad, BUT it's the little things that count the most!

All weekend I have been fighting this awful sickness that my husband has diagnosed as, {dramatic pause please}, the stomach flu, bleh! Today, I am finally feeling better after sleeping for 20 hours Saturday, moaping around for 3 days because I couldn't eat, and I had to miss classes for the first time this semester! I am pleased to say things are looking up! My energy is pretty much back the only thing left to kick to the curb is this weird little tummy ache I have 24/7.

Today is also the 1st of November, which I am sure you're all aware of, but what I bet you didn't know is that, November is the best month of the year-yep. It's true. Clayton's birthday is this Thursday, My older brother Garrett's is in two weeks and then my birthday is on the 20th! Yippie! To top it all off I will get to go home to California {for the first time since we were married} for Thanksgiving!

I got my first blog comment- it was short super sweet, and just made my day! {I was never really planning on starting a blog. I love to read other people’s and then a few people in my campus organizations, PRSSA and I~Comm Student Agency convinced me it would be beneficial for my career- so I gave it a shot}I’m just glad to know that at least one person appreciates what I am doing. That’s all that matters.

One more and then I'll let y'all be. Since Tuesdays and especially Thursdays are crazy busy, tonight we had our favorite pizza for dinner! Noble Roman's {AKA Cragio’s fast n’ ready @Broliums} not only is their pizza de-lish, {their pepperoni's taste like bacon!} I was happy to be able to eat again. Also this just so happens to be the place where Clayton first attempted to ask my father for my hand in marriage, we’re a classy bunch.

Adorable. Well that's all for now, stay tuned!
